Dennis Toussaint

Dennis B. Toussaint, age 77, passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 27, 2019. He was born in Lockport, New York, on September 19, 1942, the son of the late William and Helen (Smith) Toussaint. He was a longtime resident of Kalamaoo, but had a deep love of Lockport and visited there often. Dennis is survived by his sons, Todd and Mark Toussaint; his brother Douglas Toussaint and his wife Jo Ann; his sister Debra Edgar-Toussaint; his gal, Sue Murray; Ashley Miller, who he considered a granddaughter, and Ashley's daughter, Nadia; and the mother of his children, Berta Jones. He was preceded in death by his beloved canine companion Bill Toussaint. Denny's outgoing and engaging personality led him to a lifelong career in sales. After a starting out in the camera business, Denny later moved into the optical industry. He was dedicated to his work and could be found in office every day. He had a larger-than-life personality and a sense of humor to match. His stories and jokes will be missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held at Food Dance on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 3:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to SPCA Southwest Michigan.
