Dennis K. Perry, age 62, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away surrounded by the ones he laughed with, lived for, and loved on October 4, 2016. He was born September 1, 1954, in Kalamazoo, the son of Arthur and Louise (Crawford) Perry. Dennis was a graduate of Comstock High School and attended Rochester College. On June 29, 1974, he was united in marriage to Paige Pleasant. He was employed by Humphrey Products for 30 years until his retirement. He was a member of the East Main Church of Christ and enjoyed many years of singing in the local Barbershop Chorus as well as his quartet. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Paige Perry; their children, Jody (Tom Skiles) of Kalamazoo, Kelly (Jim) Daniels of Vicksburg, and Sam Perry of Kalamazoo; four grandchildren, Madeline Skiles, Ella Skiles, Landon Daniels, and Grant Daniels; his mother Louise Perry; brothers, Michael (Julie) Perry of Denver, CO and Mark (Jane) Perry of Plainwell; brother in law Garth (Pat) Pleasant of Rochester Hills; sister in law, Leisa Perry of Schoolcraft; a special cousin, Amber (David) Milner of Henderson, TN; a special aunt, Verlene Halford of Bakersfield, MO; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur; a brother, Ronald Perry; a special aunt, Dean Halford; and father and mother in law, John and Ina Pleasant. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 15th at the East Main Church of Christ, 2528 East Main St. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Private burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Rochester College Athletic Fund.
