Deloy Vaden, 74, of Battle Creek and formerly of Chattanooga, TN, passed away Saturday, December 02, 2006 at the Battle Creek Veteran's Affairs Medical Center.
He was born May 8, 1932 in Monterey, TN, the son of Dewey W. and Hattie (Pierce) Vaden. Deloy was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War and served his country for over eleven years.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, the former Louise Morgan, on August 31, 2006.
He is survived by his step-daughter Carolyn Games of Chattanooga, TN, and his brothers and sisters Ann Allen, Betty Johnson, Jewell Edger all of Battle Creek and Barbara Burk of Sturgis, Glen Vaden and Terry Vaden both of Battle Creek and Carl Vaden of Florida. He was preceded in death by his brother Dewey R. Vaden and sister Reba F. Vaden.
Visitation will be from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, Tuesday, at Royal Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Tuesday, December 5, 2006, at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Haven of Rest.
