Fraaza, Delmar G. of Kalamazoo, MI Delmar "Del" Fraaza, age 93, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday morning, March 7, 2019 at Rose Arbor Hospice. He was born September 14, 1925 in Ringle, WI, to the late Frank and Lena (VanVuren) Fraaza. Del was a member of Hope Reformed Church and a former member of Centerpoint. For many years he was employed as a plasterer, working for Bouma Betten and Vlietstra Plastering. Del enjoyed woodworking, gardening and traveling, but the most important part of his life was his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren. On April 8, 1948, Del was united in marriage to Irene (Ekema) Fraaza who preceded him in death on August 25, 2018. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Shawna Fraaza; and his siblings, John Fraaza, Cornelia Fraaza, Evelyn Barr, Dorothy Goodwin, Kenneth Fraaza and Robert Fraaza. Surviving are 4 sons and their wives, Kenneth (Cheri) Fraaza of Richland, Glen (Beverly) Fraaza of Kalamazoo, Ronald (Kathy Godin) Fraaza of Alamo and Darrell (Kathy) Fraaza of Martin; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Ellen Frifeldt; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 10th from 5 to 8p.m. at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. Services will be held at 11a.m. on Monday, March 11th at Hope Reformed Church, 910 Jenks Blvd., with Rev. Dan Jongsma and his nephew, Rev. David Jansen, officiating. Private graveside services will be held in Alamo Center Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission or to Park Village Pines.
