Delese Acey

Delese Eileen Darcangelo Acey closed the door on her earthly life and went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 24, 2007. She was 85 years old. She has gone to join her parents, Margaret and Joseph; her little brothers, Howard Joseph and Richard Louis; and her husband, Donald who is already in Heaven. Delese leaves behind her younger brother, Robert; her younger sister, Peggy Jo; and many nieces and nephews. She is survived by her children, David, Dawn, Dennis, and Debora; her grandchildren, Jessica (Nicolas) Mendez, J. Corbet (Gretchen) Johnson, S. Jared Acey, and Sarah Malone; her great-grandchildren, Lucas Antonio Mendez and Natalie Rose Johnson. Delese graduated from South High in Grand Rapids in 1940. She married Donald on January 23, 1948 and they were married for 48 years until his death in 1996. She was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 5333 Clyde Park SW, where Services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Valerie Ambrose officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment Greenwood Cemetery.
