Debra Watson

Debra K Watson, "Debra", 60 years old, Kalamazoo, MI, transitioned Friday, Dec. 28th at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. Born in Kalamazoo, Debra spent her early years in various cities and schools around the state. After graduating from Portage Central High Debra made her way to San Francisco, CA where she made many, many lifelong friendships. It was in San Francisco that Debra earned her massage certification and started her 30+ year career. Debra moved from California, to Boston then on to Chicago returning to Kalamazoo in 2002 where she continued her practice. A beautiful, quiet, kind, unassuming, and compassionate healer and soul, she was happiest at home with her beloved cats, in nature - walking, biking, hiking or spending time near water. Several of her favorite areas being Empire and Sutton's Bay, MI. Debra was proceeded in death by her parents, Walter K Watson and Mary Jane Watson. She is survived by her beloved sister and life long friend Denise Egizio (Mike), her half-sister Nancy Yoshida (Glen), her beloved niece Ginny, loving nephew Michael, cherished cousin and soul sister Amy Van Camp, additional cousins, Aunts, Uncle and many friends, namely Julie Sharp and Leslie Lauren. True to her character, Debra donated her body to science. A celebration of life in Debra's honor will be held at 1:30 on Saturday, Jan. 5th 2019 at Oakland Hills Club House, 810 Oakland Hills Circle Portage, MI.
