Dave Barr

Dave Barr, age 62, passed away suddenly of natural causes on Friday, March 31st, 2017 at Wheaton Franciscan Medical Center. Dave was born in Valparaiso, Indiana on August 10, 1954. He was the son of Francis and Margaret Barr.

Dave proudly served in the military and resided in Racine the majority of his life. Dave had a very strong faith and was a strong advocate in the pro-life movement. He attended Mass regularly at St. Lucy Catholic Church, as well as other local parishes. He always shared a smile, and was never afraid to let you know his political opinions. He endeared himself to many people throughout the community and his presence will be missed by all who knew him.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his twin brother, Christopher Barr of Racine, and his brother, Mick(Mary) Barr of Beaver Dam, WI.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave. Racine, on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 10:30am with Reverend Javier Guativa officiating. Relatives and friends may meet at the church from 9:30am until time of service at 10:30am. Internment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, 5600 Holy Cross Road, Racine, WI 53402 immediately following the Mass. Memorials to the Hospitality Center have been suggested.
