Corrine Smith

Passed away March 3, 2010. Corrine was born November 30, 1927 in Omaha, Nebraska the daughter of John and Veronica (Zaffle) Cronland. She owned and operated Corrine's Catering and Evergreen Hall in Portage for over 30 years. Surviving are a son, Donald (Robin) Smith of Vicksburg; four daughters, Donna (Stan) Tarkowski of Mattawan, Suzanne (Bob) Morrison of LaPorte, TX, Sandra (Bill) Grosser of Portage and

Patricia (Mark) Chandler of Galesburg; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren. Corrine was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Smith; two brothers and sister-in-law, John and Arlene Cronland and Colin Cronland; two grandsons, Alan Chandler and Robert Anthony Morrison. At her request cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A private family service will be held at Mt. Ever Rest Cemetery at a later date.
