Colleen Scott

Colleen M. Scott, age 73, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away Tuesday evening, December 26, 2017 at Kairos Dwelling. Colleen was born June 10, 1944 in Kalamazoo the daughter of the late LD “Jake” and Maxine (Stephenson) Stanley and had been a lifelong resident in the Kalamazoo area. She spent most of her life as an accountant with both Tendercare and James River. Colleen enjoyed shooting pool with her husband at the Comstock VFW and spending time with her family and friends. On July 30, 1976 she was united in marriage to her loving husband of 32 years, Jack Scott who preceded her in death on January 15, 2008. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Patrick LD Stanley. Colleen is survived by her brother, Michael T. Stanley; step-children, Ronald Scott and Tammy Scott-Farnsworth; and several nieces and nephews. A gathering to celebrate Colleen’s life will be held from 2-4pm Friday, December 29 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick. Private family graveside services will be held in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Michigan.
