Clifford Morey

Clifford G. Morey, age 79, of Kalamazoo, MI On December 6, 2017, we lost our beloved husband, father, Opa and brother to a terrible disease, Alzheimer's. Clifford was born on April 1, 1938 in Portage, Michigan to the late Julian and Isabell Rose Morey. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany for the greatest part of his service time. While stationed there, he met the love of his life, Ursula (Stiel). They were married for 59 years. In addition to this wife, Clifford leaves behind a son, Gerald (Margot) Stiel; a daughter, Patricia (Verden) Campbell; two grandchildren, Jacob (Heather) and Cassi Stiel; and a special great-grandson, Landyn Stiel. He is also survived by a sister, Mary (Tibor) Keller; brothers, Forrest (Alice), Mike (Billie) and Patrick Morey; and special nieces and nephews in Germany, Brigitte Bittner, Uwe Schmid and Peter and Coni Bittner and their son, Patrick. Clifford worked for many various companies in Kalamazoo and retired from VanDam Kruisinga. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, especially Phyllis, Jessica and Pam for their care of Clifford. They would also like to thank Emily of Senior Services and their neighbors, Tammy and Mary Kemp. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place and no services are scheduled at this time. Burial with full military honors will be held at a later date at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
