Claudette Prevatte

Claudette L. Prevatte, age 82, of Parchment, MI passed away early Sunday morning, April 30, 2017 at Borgess Medical Center. She was born on September 9, 1934 in Deering, MO, the daughter of the late Claude and Dora (Riddle) Trowbridge. On May 18, 1957, she was united in marriage to Elbert W. Prevatte. Claudette was employed by Gibson Guitar for 28 years until her retirement in 1984. Surviving are 3 daughters: Karen Hampton, Janet Pankey and Susan Howard; daughter-in-law: Kathy Prevatte; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Nancy Walters, Mary Williams, and Carol Rivera; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband of 53 years: Elbert; son: Bill; 4 sisters: Naomi Matrau, Mildred Fardello, Nellie Smith and Geneva Kinnison; 2 brothers: Claude Jr. and Donald Trowbridge; and 1 grandson. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Thursday, May 4, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street. A service to celebrate Claudette's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 5, at the funeral Home. Her grandson, Minister Andrew P. Prevatte will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt.
