Age 66, died November 27, 2016 at his home. He was born June 30, 1950 in Kalamazoo, the son of Cecil and Ruth (Snell) Tackett. He worked in the tire industry most his life, retiring in 2010 as a senior manager. Chuck loved many things, but most of all loved his granddaughters, the years with his wife, spending time with his sons, hunting with his father-in-law, trips to the casino, watching Michigan and Lions football, pranking people, camping, Sunday visits with his mother, and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Tackett; sister and brother-in-law, Leilani and Leon Mendoza; brother, Cecil “DeDe” Tackett, Jr., and sister, Carla Hostetler. Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Kim Tackett; 4 sons: Clinton (Jynell) Tackett, Colton Tackett, Charles Kelley and Timothy Kelley; 2 grandchildren: Brooklyn and Melody Tackett; mother, Ruth Tackett; siblings: Pamela (Jim) Ballard, Marilyn (Kenneth) Hostetler and Terri Ballard and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held Saturday 11am at St. John Bosco Church followed by a luncheon in the church hall.
