Charles Madgyesi, age 94, Gobles, MI passed away Monday, May 8, 2017 at White Oaks Assisted Living in Lawton. Charlie was born August 5, 1922 in Kalamazoo, the son of Charles and Eleanor (Gasper) Madgyesi and has lived in the Gobles area since 1955. Charles served with the US Army during WWII, and retired from the State Highway Department, Paw Paw Garage. Surviving are his daughter, Shirley (Wendell) Wallace of Benton, Iowa; son, Chuck (Sherrie) Madgyesi of Paw Paw; 7 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna in 1992; brother, Alfred; and sisters, Viola, his twin sister Esther, Rosella, Edith, Ethel, and Lena. The family will meet friends 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Gobles Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home. A graveside service with military honors will be 11:00 AM Friday at Greenmound Cemetery in New Madison, Ohio.
