Charles Dorr Sr.

Charles Thomas Dorr, Sr., age 73 of Lawrence, MI passed away at his home on November 27, 2017. He was born in Lawrence on December 18, 1943 to the late Orrin Joseph, Sr., and Marcella (Kruse) Dorr. Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Linda (Brown), three children, Darcy (Craig) Green, Abbey (Andy Nesbitt) Dorr and son, Charles Jr., and Stephanie, one grandchild, Corbie, two brothers, James (Martha) Dorr and Orrin (Fay) Dorr along with his brother in law, Doug (Kathie) Brown. Charlie was preceded in death by his mother and father, his brother George and his sister Lois Stanley. Charlie has been a lifelong resident of Lawrence. He loved farming on the family farm and antique tractors. He retired from the Van Buren County Road Commission. Charlie had a big heart and would lend a hand to anyone that was in need. He will be missed by his loving family and friends. The family will receive guests on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave, Paw Paw and again from 10a.m. until 11 a.m. Thursday Morning at East Arlington Baptist Church, 40040 48th Street, Lawrence, where a funeral service will commence at 11 a.m. with Pastor Glen Cowles officiating. Burial will follow at Hicks Cemetery, Lawrence. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center.
