Cecilia M. Box, Traverse City
Cecilia M. Box passed away at her home on December 22, 2015, she was 89 years young.
Cecilia married William S. Box, her high school sweetheart on June 4th 1945, he proceeded her in death in 1991. She is survived by daughters Vera and her husband Les Wallace of Marana Arizona and daughter Jenny, her husband Rob Rice of Traverse City, five granddaughters and four and a half great grandchildren.
Ceil and Bill moved from Traverse City to Gaylord in 1974 so she could be closer to her family; Parents Martin and Vera Veraghen, deceased, and her Sister Beverly Weaver and her family.
Upon her arrival in Gaylord she changed a lifelong hobby of collecting antiques into a business with Castle Antique shops in Gaylord and Traverse City. Ceil was assisted in her business by her dearest friends Bessie Hayes and Hallie Wiegandt.
The family would like to thank Laura, Amy and Cindy and the rest of the staff of Heartland Hospice for caring for our mom as if she was theirs.
