Catherine Evans

Catherine Elizabeth (Turske) Evans, age 71, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. She was 71 years old. Catherine was born on February 16, 1946. She retired from GTE after many years of service. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Stony Brooks Evans; four children, Jeff Turske, Jack (Anouk) Turske, Angela Strouse and Amy McNee; eight grandchildren, Isabella & Justin, Joshua & Nicholas, Alexis & Matthew and Sierra & Brennan. Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. 10 a.m. followed by a short prayer service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 15th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo, MI 49007. A graveside service will be held in Alpena at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
