Caryn Braasch

Caryn T. Braasch, age 68, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Wednesday afternoon, April 5, 2017 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. She was born on January 18, 1949 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Joe and Betty (VanWelden) Schreuder. Caryn was employed by Checker Motors for over 32 years until her retirement. She enjoyed going to the beach and loved wintering in Florida. Surviving are her two children: Kevin (Kelly) Nosan of Portage and Kristine Lambert of Oshtemo; four grandchildren: Kelsey, Paige, Katie and Kyle; and three great-grandchildren; brother: Craig (Janet) Schreuder; sister: Coleen (Pete) Beeke; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband: Tom Braasch; sister and brother-in-law: Cathy and Brian Huff; and granddaughter: Takara. A funeral service to celebrate Caryn's life will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, April 11, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, with visitation from 10am-12pm. Rev. James Dyke will officiate. Memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of one's choice.
