Carolyn White

Carolyn Lou White, age 90, of Gobles, MI passed away on June 20, 2017 at Vicinia Gardens Memory Care Unit in Otsego, MI. Carolyn was born in Plainwell, MI on September 15, 1926, the daughter of Edward and Lottie Desness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert H. White, and an infant son, Roy Allen White. Surviving are her children: Cheryl (Keith) Shaw, Neta (Steve) Chappell, Jim (Linda) White, and Dan (Nicole) White; 21 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Carolyn was a homemaker who enjoyed walking and traveling with Gilbert, helping friends and neighbors, gardening, quilting, cooking, baking (the best bread ever!), playing Scrabble and puzzling. Friends may visit with the family for a celebration of the lives of Gilbert and Carolyn White on Saturday, August 12th beginning at 12 PM at the Gobles United Methodist Church, 210 East Exchange Street, Gobles.
