Caroline Joostberns

Caroline Marie Joostberns, 68, of Grand Junction, MI passed away peacefully Saturday, March 4, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born September 4, 1948 in Allegan, she was the daughter of the late Allison Claire Ellis and Ella Louise (Gile) Ellis and the wife of Gerrit Joostberns, Jr. Mrs. Joostberns, along with her husband and family, enjoyed many camping and fishing trips together, traveling to Canada and particularly to Las Vegas. She first vacationed in Vegas in 1984 with friends and family and visited many times over the years. Mrs. Joostberns was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends alike. Mrs. Joostberns is survived by her husband Gerrit; her children, Denelle (and Bob) Ellis, Teresa Pountain, Lauri Joostberns and Gerrit Joostberns III; her siblings, Marilyn Peck, Onalee Milbocker, Butch Ellis, Gloria Holden, Sam Ellis and Roxie Fargo; fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughters, Chloe and Lilly Pountain. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Lindsley Cemetery.
