Carol Schroeder

Schroeder, Carol 8/12/1938 - 9/27/2022 Virginia Beach, Virginia Carol Ann Schroeder passed away peacefully on September 27th in Virginia Beach, VA. She was born to George Kinderman and Pearl Boysen in Plainwell, Michigan. There she enjoyed an idyllic childhood on an onion farm surrounded by a large extended family with fond memories of exploring the woods with her cousins and playing with her dogs. Carol was a graduate of Plainwell High School and Tobe Cobern School of Fashion Careers in New York City. During her career, she worked for J.L. Hudson, Casual Corner and Lillian Vernon. She married Thomas Schroeder and raised two children, Kurt and Kristin. Her passions were reading, fashion, the theater, museums and enjoying the company of her many dear friends. Carol was predeceased by her mother Pearl Boysen and her husband Thomas Schroeder. She is survived by her son Kurt Schroeder and his wife Deborah, daughter Kristin Cain and her husband Jimmy, and her grandchildren Ian and Alex Cain. A celebration of life will be held on October 5th from 2PM-5pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5033 Rouse Drive in Virginia Beach.
