Carl Gordon

Carl K. Gordon, age 92, of Kalamazoo, MI is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior. He went home with Jesus on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 surrounded by family. Carl was born on October 11, 1924 in South Bend IN and moved to Kalamazoo as a child. He retired from the Eaton Corporation. Carl married the divine appointed love of his life, Beverly Gordon on June 16, 1945, who preceded him in death in 2006 after 61 years of marriage. They were blessed with two children, Barbara (Pete) Dwyer and David (Penny) Gordon; four grandchildren, Tammie and Natalie Sherman, Theodore (Carey) Gordon, Daniel (Adrienne) Gordon; five great-grandchildren, Matthew Dwyer, Tyler and Ethan Gordon, Brianna Cannon and Isabella Gordon. Carl loved the Lord and faithfully served God at Trinity Baptist Church and wherever God called him. He strongly believed: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." That is how he lived his life. As a family we can almost see and hear the rejoicing of Angels when Carl entered the gates of Heaven. He left us with many treasures and blessings in our hearts; he was a beautiful gift to all who knew him. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017, beginning at 10:00 AM, at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park Chapel.
