Bonnie Goodson

Age 86, passed away at Rose Arbor, on September 6, 2017, with family at her side. She was born and raised in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of the late Glenn and Elfa (Shepherd) Bisbee. She moved to Michigan with her family in 2003. Bonnie was kind, compassionate and gentle. She loved crafts and was gifted at quilting, sewing, crochet and making dolls. She was a faithful attendee of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Portage and was a formerly attended the Old Pike Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Prior to her marriage she was employed by the Platte Pipe Line Company in Kansas City. Above all, she loved spending time with her husband children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She leaves them with many wonderful memories to cherish. On January 22, 1965, she married Clayton "Corky" Goodson who survives. They had 52 wonderful years together. She is also survived by two daughters, Roxie (Leroy) Swearingin and Sherryll (Sisson) Johnson; four grandchildren, Sarah, Rachel, and Ruth Swearingin, Joshua (Joanna) Johnson; two great-grandchildren, Tobias and Lillian Johnson; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was also preceded in passing by three brothers, Jim, Bob and Don, Bisbee. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017, beginning at 2:00 PM, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 7415 Oakland Dr. Portage, MI 49024, with Marty Hunt officiating. Bonnie will be laid to rest at Elmira Cemetery in Elmira, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the World Wide Work of Jehovah's Witnesses, c/o the funeral home.
