Bonnie E. Cummins, 81, was called home to be with our Lord on April 25, 2025, at Alamo Cove Nursing Home, Kalamazoo Michigan. Bonnie was born in Jefferson City Missouri to parents William H. and Minnie Maude (Bridges) Garrett on January 10, 1944. Bonnie had a tenacity to "do better" in life. She did not graduate high school but later went back to get her GED and went on to take college courses. She held many business roles, including admin at Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac. Bonnie loved change and resided in many towns in both Michigan and Florida. While living in Florida, she decided to get her realtors license, something she was very proud of. Bonnie had an immense love for family, gardening, camping, animals of all kinds, and nature in general. She was loved and admired by her Hospice workers, and staff from both Meadow Woods Nursing Home, and her final destination, Alamo Cove Nursing home. She will be greatly missed. Bonnie is survived by her three children and their spouses; James (Lise') Patterson, Sherri (Richard) Ramsdell, Alica (Donald) Cummings; Eight Grandchildren, Cody (Jessica) Patterson, Dylan Patterson, Kristina (Daniel) Emmerich, Captain Trisha Ramsdell, Erik (Amy) Cummings, Brett (Ashley) Cummings, Nicole (Ben) Ku; Eight Great Grandchildren, Jack and Nick Patterson, Brooks Emmerich, Brynn Cummings, Ethan and Owen Cummings, Adeline and Gemma Ku; Siblings, William (Marlene) Garrett, Linda (Samuel Ioannidis) and David (Karen) Garrett; and many nieces and nephews. Bonnie was proceeded in death by her parents; William H. and Minnie Maude (Bridges) Garrett, and her son Steven Thomas Patterson. All events for Bonnie's Celebration of Life will commence on Saturday, May 17 at Climax United Methodist Church, located at 133 E Maple St. Climax, MI 49034. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. The service will start promptly at 5:00 with reception immediately following. Flowers can be sent to Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 622 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo MI 49007. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Climax United Methodist Church.
