Bill L. Ratliff, aged 73, of Grand Rapids, went to be with his Lord, on Monday, May 7, 2018, at his home, with his loving family at his side. Born Feb. 15, 1945, he was the son of the late Clarence and Hazel Ratliff. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Don Ratliff, Jean (Bill) Jourden and Dave Ratliff. He is survived by his children, Ryan and Betsy Ratliff, Heather and Aaron Peterson; his grandchildren, Elijah, Grace-Miriam and Naomi Ratliff, and Anna Peterson; his sisters, Betty Duffy and Sue (Rog) Ensing; many nieces, nephews and friends. Bill honorably served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He retired from Ameritech after 34 years of service. A service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held on Friday, May 11, at 12:00 noon, at New Community Church, 2340 Dean Lake Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505. Relatives and friends may meet his family at Heritage Lifestory Funeral Home, 2120 Lake Michigan Dr. NW on Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00 pm, and again at the church on Friday from 11:00 am until the service begins at 12:00.
