Surrounded by his loving family, Bill D. Mycon, age 75, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 at his residence. Bill was born in Racine, March 22, 1942, son of the late Andrew and Vivian (Nee: Foss) Mycon.

Bill attended Washington Park High School. On February 4, 1994 at Faith Christian Fellowship he was united in marriage to Margaret Thomas. He was employed by Walker Forge for twenty-five years and by Interstate Forging for ten years. Bill enjoyed traveling, the outdoors, and nature. He will be fondly remembered for his devotion and love for his family and his keen sense of humor.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of twenty-three years, Margaret; his children, Michael Visek (Tina Christensen), Tammy Mycon (Barry Schultz III), Tekika (Brian) McGee, Vicki (Anthony) Keith, Laqonda (Sylvester) Johnson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Louise Pinson; sisters, Carol Maddix, Marcia (Richard) Matavka; sister-in-law, Cheryl Mycon; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his children, Gerald and Jennifer; and by two brothers, Richard and Victor Mycon.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 14, 2017, 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Sheila Nienhaus officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 10:30 A.M. until time of service at 12:00 P.M. Memorials to the family have been suggested.

Bill’s family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to his special granddaughter, Tasha High, the staff at Wheaton Franciscan Home Health and Hospice, and to Pastors Sheila and Todd Nienhaus for their loving and compassionate care.
