Betty Wassman

Wassman, Betty 4/21/1925 - 3/19/2023 Lawrence Betty Wassman of Lawrence, MI, Passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023 at the age of 97. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Cora Benessi, her husband, Carlyle Wassman, her sister, Dorothy Guilfoyle and her grandson, Dan Miller. She is survived by her children, Sue Miller (Jerry) and Steve Wassman (Wendy), grandchildren, Emily Lund, Bess Wassman, Becky Lerch and K.C. Wassman and 7 great grandchildren. Betty graduated from WMU and taught English and Spanish at Lawrence Public Schools. She and Carlyle enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends at their home on Lake Cora. She lived a full and happy life and was loved by her family and friends. She headed up the most exclusive summer camp, Camp Grandma. Her grandchildren who attended felt very fortunate.
