Betty R. Alpizar, age 77, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Hospice House, Pleasant Prairie. Betty was born in Costa Rica, September 21, 1939, daughter of the late Daniel and Theresa (Nee: Umaña) Morales.

On May 5, 1963, she was united in marriage to Ofir Alpizar and together they immigrated to Racine, WI in October of 1967. Betty had a deep faith and was a longtime member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She was a prayer warrior always advocating prayers for family and friends. Betty enjoyed drawing, crocheting, and cooking but most of all she cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Ofir; her children, Randy (Ruth) Alpizar, Patricia (Gregg) Gross, Lucrecia (Nick) Dubinsky; her grandchildren, Andrew, Lauren (Sean) Ciske, Hannah, and Daniel Gross, Jonathan (fiancée Jacqulin Long), Abigail and Elizabeth Dubinsky, Ashley, Victoria, and Robbie Dargan; great granddaughter, Caroline Ciske; many family and friends in Costa Rica and Racine.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 1, 2017, 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 5-7 P.M. and on Saturday 9:30 A.M. until time of service.

The family would like to extend a special thank you the staffs of Kenosha Memorial Hospital and Hospice House for their loving and compassionate care. They also give gratitude to God who provided special people from the community that helped Betty and Ofir start a new life in Racine.
