Betty Jane Wendt

Betty Jane Wendt, aged 89 of Kentwood, MI, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at her home, with her family at her side. She was preceded in death by,her parents, Harold and Helen McClanathan, her daughter Linda Nelson and her grandson, Aaron Michael Van Lopik. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Dick Wendt; her children, Donald (Carol) Weaver Jr., Susan (William) Van Lopik; step-children, Holly (Michael) Wallace, Laura (Robert) DeWitt; son-in-law, Jack Nelson; her 8 grandchildren, Kenneth (Tiffany) Weaver, Denise (Bryon) Sosnowski, Greg Nelson, Lori (Rueben) Bruckley, Christian Van Lopik (Phillip Mayville), Rafael (Santos) Van Lopik, Graham Wallace, and Grant Wallace; 9 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. Betty was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered. A service to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday, January 23 at 1 PM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home 2120 Lake Michigan Drive NW. Friends may visit with the family beginning at Noon.
