Betty Ann Faul, age 87, of Paw Paw, MI passed away peacefully Thursday, February 23, 2017, at White Oaks Assisted Living Facility surrounded by the love of her family. Born April 15, 1929, the daughter of Cecil and Loel (Davis) Marbry, she was a long-time resident of Paw Paw and the epitome of a mother who truly raised a village along with her contemporaries. On July 5, 1950, Betty was united in marriage to the love of her life for 66 years, Dick Faul, who passed away just recently, on October 15, 2016. Son Steven Faul also preceded her in death. Surviving are her daughter Susan (Fred) Coker and two sons Jim Faul and John (Carie) Faul. Also surviving are granddaughter Ayrica (Omar) Bakri, grandson John (Danielle) Coker, grandson Mac Faul, granddaughter Mo Faul, three great grandchildren (Isaac Bakri, Kian Bakri, Noelle Coker). Betty was known for her generous nature and for treating her children's friends and their spouses as her own. Her home was a welcome sanctuary for all that was full of love, laugher and coffee cups not necessarily filled with coffee. Self-proclaimed as the original party girl, she enjoyed laughter and appreciated the positive side of life all qualities she impressed upon her family and friends. Betty loved to travel with Dick to all parts of the world, especially enjoying trips to Europe and Las Vegas with Paw Paw friends who shall remain nameless, but you know who you are. She belonged to a bridge club that was better at lunch than bridge and in the process kept the children under the protective monitoring of the eyes and ears of the Village Mothers. Most of all, she was a nurturing woman with a love for family, friends, and community. The family wishes to thank special friends, Mark Meconi and Cheryl Lammers, for their presence and who she considered as son and daughter. The family would also like to acknowledge and gratefully thank the staff of White Oaks Assisted Living Facility in Lawton and Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan who with grace and mercy gave her passing dignity. A Memorial Service to celebrate Betty's life will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the First Presbyterian Church of Paw Paw. Friends will be received 10 a.m. Services to follow to follow at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Tiffany McCafferty officiating. Internment at Prospect Hill Cemetery will follow the Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorial contributions in Betty's honor, may do so to the First Presbyterian Church of Paw Paw or Eleanor's Pantry. Adams Funeral Home
