Betty A. Karecki, 86, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2016 at Ascension All Saints Hospital after a brief illness. Betty was born in Racine on Dec. 1, 1930 to the late Julius and Stela (nee: Serbienska ) Kritzcki.

Betty graduated from St. Catherine’s High School. She was employed at Racine Steel Castings, Horlick Mfg. and worked until retirement at Haban Mfg.

She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Betty will be deeply missed by her cousin, Pam Lorentsen of Racine; niece, Denise (Rick) Parker of Torrance, CA; great nephew, Christopher (Holly) Jensen and their children: Andrew, Collin, and Ashley, great nephew, Matthew Jensen; special friends, Marianne and Dave Cool of Mt. Pleasant, Teri and Joe Kiriaki of Racine and Sue and Gary Craanen of Racine.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Elsie Karecki; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Stanley Adamowicz; brother and sister-in-law, Martin and Ghislaine Kritzcki; and closest friend, Nancy Poulson.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Steve Varghese officiating. There will be a visitation preceding the service from 4:00 P.M. until time of service at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Private interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Holy Cross Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to the charity of your choice.
