Obituary
BLAUWKAMP (VanZytveld) Mrs. Bertha Blauwkamp, 94, peacefully entered Heaven's glory, on November 16, 2009, at the home of her daughter, Sue and her family, in Holland, MI. She is survived by her children, Rick Blauwkamp and family, Becky and Henry Witte (Luke, Isaac), Kate and Mark Wiersma (Wesley and Maxwell), Lisa and Joe Baillargeon, Bob and Allie Blauwkamp and family, Christopher, Julie, Kim, Sherry and Ray Kloostra and family, Sarah and Tim Vanderveen (Kylie, Brady), Ryan and Raquel Kloostra, Sue and Steve Lesky and family, Steffany, Marissa, Matt; in-laws, Harold and Lucille Blauwkamp, Mrs. Sid Ethel Teusink, Joyce and John Dark; nieces, nephews, and countless friends. Bertha was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Dick; and daughter-in-law, Myra Blauwkamp; parents, John and Maria VanZytveld; siblings and spouses, Gertrude (John) Camping, Cornelius (Catherine) VanZytveld, Bob (Jean, Kay) VanZytveld, Kate (Pete) Zwier, Marie (Frank) Dieleman, Bill (Audrey) VanZytveld, John (Matilda) VanZytveld, Rena (Marvin) Dozeman, Helene (Gerald) Riewald; in-laws, Hattie Blauwkamp, Bert (Ruth) Blaukamp, Henrietta (Art) Sterken, Janet (Stan) Voss, Sid Teusink, and Gladys Blauwkamp. Our family was blessed with a wonderful Christian mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and friend. She was the heart of our family and loved us all deeply. We considered her our priceless treasure. She lived in awe of God's creation and enjoyed flowers, birds, the moon and sunsets (especially those from her window at Warm Friend). She felt led by God to bring joy to others and became a collector of friends. Her memory will bring smiles to all who knew her. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, November 20, at 2:00 p.m.. at Third CRC, 10 W. Central Ave., Zeeland. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at the Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St., Holland.
