Beatrice Evelyn Wesaw, age 94, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Tuesday morning, April 25, 2017 in Rose Arbor Hospice Residence surrounded by her family. She was born on December 31, 1922 in Albion, NY a daughter of James A. and Irene M. (Buck) Brundish. On August 28, 1943 Beatrice married Francis G. Wesaw. After World War II, they moved to southwestern Michigan. Beatrice retired from the Kalamazoo Gazette where she worked as a receptionist. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, doing crafts and collecting blue glassware and Japanese pieces. On February 12, 2012 Francis passed away. Beatrice was also preceded in death by her parents and a son, Dennis. Surviving are three children, Dorene Wesaw of Kalamazoo, Ronald (Audrey) Wesaw of Decatur and Debra Wesaw of Plainwell; four grandchildren, Ronald Wesaw, Jr., Jeffrey Wesaw, Lisa Davis and Cody Hulbert; five great-grandchildren, Jessie, Brendan, Mason, Jordan and Camden; a brother, David Brundish of Albion, NY; two sisters, Margaret Falcone of Des Moines, IA and Florence Connely of San Francisco, CA; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will gather from 6-8PM on Sunday, April 30th at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street where a memorial service will be held at 10AM Monday, May 1st with Pastor Jim Dyke officiating. Inurnment will follow in Fort Custer National Cemetery at 11:30AM. Memorials may be directed to the charity of one's choice.
