Barbara Roberts

Barbara "Bobbie" Roberts, age 86 of Galesburg, died August 4, 2019. She was born May 20, 1933, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Paul Stewart and Marie (Groen) Beaton. Bobbie worked in food service for several schools, retiring from the Pennfield school system. In the early 1970's, she owned and operated Bobbie's restaurant in Galesburg. On July 9, 1977, Bobbie married Thomas Roberts. Her family includes her husband Tom; her children: Ronald Block, Connie (William) Antisdale, Thomas (Patricia) Block, and Susan Block Reeves; her grandchildren: Ronald, Jessie, Tommy, Melissa, Carrie, Daniel, Cyntia, Emily, and Joshua; her 17 great-grandchildren and her niece. She was preceded in death by her sister Sarah Dunfield. Friends may visit with her family on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, from 5-7 PM, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 622 S Burdick St, Kalamazoo, MI 49007. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 12, 2019, at 1:30 PM at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Please gather in the cortege area inside the entrance. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be directed to Disabled American Veterans.
