Barbara Holtrop

HOLTROP - Barbara Lynn Holtrop (Billger), born on November 13, 1951, of Walker, joined her Heavenly Father on Thursday, March 18, 2010. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Ross Holtrop; her parents, Bruce and Helen Billger; her children, Alissa Coil and Ryan (Stefanie) Coil; granddaughter, Reagan; her step children, Melissa (Andy) Sugden and Emily Holtrop; her sister-in-law, Marge Huffman and her family; and close family friends, Bob and Joyce Haveman. Barb was a marathon walker who loved all outdoor activities. She was an active member of Calvary Church. She was truly blessed by being part of the Growing in Remarriage class at Calvary Church and cherished the friendships that grew from their fellowship. The support of those friends was a constant comfort to Barb and her family. A Memorial Service will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Church, 707 East Beltline NE, Grand Rapids, with Pastor Josh Mateer and Pastor Jordan Huffman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kent County Girls on the Run. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville), 4145 Chicago Dr., and Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
