Art passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, May 29, 2018 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on November 4, 1933 in Benton Harbor, MI, the son of William and Anne (Kitchen) Moore. Art was a member of the US Naval Reserve for 5 years. He worked as an electrical contractor and was an over 50 year member of IBEW Local 131. Surviving are his six children: Michael (Linda) Moore, Larry Moore, Keith Moore, Dan (Myrna) Moore, Kristine DeRyder, and Dennis (Stephanie) Moore; brother: Robert (Wilma) Moore; former spouse: Mary Ellen (John) Wills; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; brother: William Moore; and two sisters: Ruth Barret and Dorothy Holms. A memorial service to celebrate Art's life will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, June 13, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, where friends may visit with his family from 2:00 PM until the time of service.
