Arlene Priaulx-Christensen, 93, passed away on Wednesday, February 01, 2017 in Racine, WI.

A life-long resident of Racine, Arlene was born on November 23, 1923 to the late Ernest and Pauline (nee: Filber) Steinke. On August 23, 1980, she was united in marriage to William J. Priaulx who preceded her in death on May 3, 1984. On September 23, 1988 Arlene married Stanley N. Christensen who preceded her in death on February 15, 2004.

Arlene is a graduate of Wm Horlick High School (1942) and Moore’s Business College. She was a legal secretary for thirty years to the late Attorney Paul E. Jorgensen. Arlene was an active member of the Racine Chapter of the National Secretaries Association serving as vice-president, president, and director. Arlene was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection where she served on the Altar Society and as a deacon. She enjoyed bowling and playing golf at South Hills CC and Washington Park Golf Course.

Arlene is survived by her stepchildren, Karen (Robert) Bretz of Harrisburg, PA; Sandy (John) Lang of Kerrville, TX; Willie (Katie) Priaulx of Racine, Judy Henkel of Poughkeepsie, NY and Kathy (Ray) Darbutas of Surprise AZ along with 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, many cousins and friends. Arlene was preceded in death by stepson Robert (Marilyn) Thygeson of Racine.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 10, 2017, 11:30 A.M. at the funeral home with Deacon Janice Navarro officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 10:30 A.M. until time of service at 11:30 A.M. Private interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials to Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, Racine WI or The Racine Zoological Society have been suggested.
