Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went peacefully to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from the Rose Arbor Hospice Residence in Kalamazoo. Alice was born on March 15, 1932 at home in Paw Paw, MI. She bravely fought cancer for the last year and found her recent battle with pneumonia too difficult to overcome. She is the daughter of the late Stephen and Antoinette (Sadecky) Minarik, Sr. She is the last of her generation being predeceased by her 12 brothers and sisters as well as her husband Roman Stieber. She had a love for gardening and volunteered to provide flower arrangements for the church as well as making birthday bouquets for residents at the nursing home where her sister most recently lived. She was a master gardener, 4-H leader and enjoyed playing cards with her friends. She was an excellent cook and loved having family dinners, especially holidays. She is survived by her children; Rick (Deb) Everett, Mike (Carmen) Everett and Carleen (Kurt) Bauer. She has 7 grandchildren; Chip, Stephen, Nick, Greg, Emilee, Audrey and Dana, 10 great-grandchildren; Emma, Rich, Claire, Dalton, Isaac, Allison, Kaitlyn, Weston, Mack and Casen. During her work life she was employed in the offices of Michigan Bell Telephone, M & T Battery, Montgomery Wards and later at Asgrow where she retired after 17 years. She most recently lived at the Fountains at Bronson Place and appreciated all her friends there. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 21 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with a rosary at 7:30pm at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home, 2300 East G Avenue. Parchment. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Ambrose Church 1628 East G Ave. Parchment at 11:00 am with visitation one hour before. A luncheon will follow; internment at 3:00pm at St. Mary's Cemetery, South LaGrave St, Paw Paw, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name can be made to St. Ambrose Church or A Feral Haven, 15467 Port Sheldon Rd. West Olive, MI 49460.
