Albert Szumylo

Szumylo, Albert Paw Paw Albert Joseph Szumylo, 68, of Paw Paw, passed away Tuesday February 23, 2021 at his home in Paw Paw. He was born March 22, 1952 in Paw Paw, the son of the late Wojciech Szumylo and Stasia (Witkowska) Szumylo. Al retired from Paw Paw Wine Distributors after many years of service. He liked to go hunting in his earlier years. Al had a passion for fishing. He and Lynne would spend the summers at Guernsey Lake in Delton, where he could be found fishing. He was an avid Michigan fan and a member of the Paw Paw Conservation Club. Al always took pride in his manicured yard and homes. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Kim and Rosie with Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan for their care and support. On August 27, 1983, Al married Lynne Alger Szumylo who survives. He is also survived by his two sisters, Helen Szumylo and Elizabeth (Mark) Wester; sister in law, Lana (Fred) Allen; brother in law, Dennis Alger; along with many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and his faithful companion Rose. Cremation has taken pace. There will be a memorial mass celebrated on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary Catholic Church, Paw Paw, with Fr. Joseph Xavier officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or to Saint Mary Catholic Church in Paw Paw.
