Pamela Jean Skimerhorn, age 57, of Bradley, IL passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at her home in Bradley, IL. She was born on September 9, 1956 in Kankakee, IL the daughter of Donald Carmain and Sharon Day. On July 20, 1974 in Bonfield, IL Pam married John Skimerhorn Jr. Pam was a teacher at Grant Park Elementary School in Grant Park, IL, was a member of Bradley Evangelical United Methodist Church, and a member and past president of the Habitants du Theatiki. She loved to teach, enjoyed camping, gardening, traveling, and just being outdoors, but most especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.

Pam is survived by her husband John of Bradley, IL, children Tanya (Doug) Swinford of Bradley, IL, John Skimerhorn III of Bradley, IL, Jean (Dave) Craft of Bradley, IL, and Tiffini Skimerhorn of Bourbonnais, IL, grandchildren, Mike, Ashley, Kaleigh, Rylie, and Sawyer Swinford, Madelynn Skimerhorn, and Deklan Craft, parents, Sharon and Larrin Nottke of Bonfield, IL and Elizabeth Carmain of Kankakee, IL, mother and father-in-law John Sr. and Denise Skimerhorn of Kankakee, IL, brothers and sisters, Virginia (Dale) Dittus, David Nottke, Jeff (Javier) Nottke, Lesa (Jeff) Hoover, Sharlene (Jim) Parr, Larry (Rosalyn) Nottke, Kevin (Becky) Nottke, Heidi (Mike) Williams, Kim Pryor, Pete (Tammy) Carmain, and Robbie Carmain, brothers-in-law Mike Skimerhorn and Delbert (Kim) Skimerhorn, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father Donald Carmain, brothers Chris Nottke and Danny Carmain, and a nephew Joseph Carmain.

A time of gathering will take place on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 3pm-8pm at Schreffler Life Story Funeral Homes Kankakee Chapel.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 10am at the funeral home followed by an interment at Kankakee Memorial Gardens, Kankakee, IL.
