Michael William Mc-Farland passed away on October 17, 2013. He was 52 years old. He was a Fennville native living in Alabama. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Dean McFarland. He is survived by his children, Benjamin Mi-chael McFarland and daughter-in-law, Jamie of Fort Myers, FL, Lucas Dean McFarland of Tay-lor, Hannah Jean McFar-land of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Baley Lee and Jaxson Robert Mc-Farland of Florida; moth-er, Shirley Troutman and stepfather, Ralph Trout-man, Sr. of Saugatuck; sis-ter, Terese DeLaLuz and brother- in- law, Noel of Holland; niece, Allyson DeLaLuz; nephews, Nick and Tyler DeLaLuz. Loved ones of the Crane family, aunt, Clara and Carl New-boles of Paragould, AR; uncle, Homer and Mary McFarland of Holland; many cousins; stepmoth-er, Shirley Gillette of Jeni-son; stepsisters, Shali, Ra-chel and Kristen, Cindy Troutman of Indiana, and Linda Troutman of Hol-land; stepbrothers, Ralph Troutman, Jr. and Kenny Troutman of Saugatuck. Mike was a graduate of Fennville High School and Ferris State Univer-sity. He had the oppor-tunity to work for sever-al companies and for a while had his own busi-ness. He enjoyed playing and coaching football and basketball and spending time with his family. Mike had a big heart for help-ing others and could fi x anything. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 23, 2013, from 2- 4 and 6- 8 p. m. at Chappell Funer-al Home, 637 W. Main Street, Fennville, and fu-neral services will be 7: 30 p. m Thursday, October 24, at the Fennville High School gymnasium.
