Derrick Burroughs

Derrick Dwayne Burroughs Sr., age 26, died March 5, 2012 in Kalamazoo. He was born April 9, 1983 in Kalamazoo, the son of Sheila Burroughs and Kevin Bennett. He graduated in 2001 from Loy Norrix High School. He volunteered as a coach for the Eastside Raiders Rocket Football team. He was a loving son, brother, and father who will be truly missed. He is survived by: parents, Sheila Burroughs (Oak Park) and

Kevin Bennett (Muskegon); five brothers, Rico Burroughs, Jay Burroughs, Brandon Brewer, Dwayne Brewer, and Byron Burroughs; three sons; three daughters; along with grandparents, a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Family Hour 5 p.m. Saturday, March 10, at Whitley Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 330 North Westnedge Ave., Kalamazoo, with services following. A reception for immediate family will follow.
