Wilma Timmons

Wilma Jean Timmons, age 85, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Monday morning, December 12, 2016 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. She was born on September 13, 1931 in Kalamazoo, the youngest of seven children to Paul and Nell (VanDyke) DenBoer. On May 8, 1953, she was united in marriage to Ralph E. Timmons. She was employed by Parker Hannifin Corp in Richland until her retirement in 1989. She was a member of Haven Reformed Church and later Second Christian Reformed Church for many years. Surviving are her four children and their spouses, Nancy and Rodney Bell of Kalamazoo, Ralph and Debra Timmons of Richland, Anthony and Nancy Timmons of Parchment and Debbie and Richard Holst of Parchment; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding her in death were her husband of 55 years, Ralph Timmons, on March 26, 2009; six brothers and sisters, John DenBoer, Lorraine DeBoer, Rena DenHammer, Adrianna 'Eddie' Viel, Louise Timmons and Pauline Nap; and two nephews. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Thursday, Dec. 15, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street. A funeral service to celebrate Wilma's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, Dec. 16, at the funeral home. Pastors Fred DeYoung and Keith Lohman will officiate. A luncheon at the funeral home will follow the service. Interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
