Willodean Grand

Grand, Willodean Kalamazoo formerly of Flint Age 91, passed away peacefully at Plainwell Pines on Monday, September 24, 2018. Willodean was born in Cullman, Alabama on January 16, 1927, the daughter of the late Virgil and Rose (Walker) Brown. She retired from General Motors in 1993 after 39 years of employment. Willodean was an avid gardener and loved animals. She also enjoyed collecting dolls and dishes and shopping at thrift stores. In addition to her parents, Willodean was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Grand and brothers, Leldon, Gary and Buford "Boots" Brown. She is survived by her son, Marc (Jennifer) Grand; nieces, Regina Maier and Rhonda Cook and nephew, Gregory Brown. A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew Community Church, 3631 Covington Rd., Kalamazoo, MI 49001, on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM; the Rev. James Dyke officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew Community Church or the Cat Nap Lodge in Richland.
