Willie J. McGhee, age 65, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday morning June 7, 2016. Willie was born in Amite County, MS on November 23, 1950, son of the late Emmitt Sr. and Rosa Lee (nee: Banks) McGhee. Willie was raised in McComb, MS and baptized as a member at Rosehill F.B. Church. He was a proud graduate of Higgins High School “Class of 1969”.

Following graduation, Willie relocated to Racine, WI where he was employed for thirty years with J.I. Case Company until his retirement in 2000. An avid GM and Oldsmobile car enthusiast, he enjoyed restoring and collecting different models through the years. He will be remembered fondly for his love of sports, especially basketball, his dogs and most importantly his family.

Willie will be dearly missed by his daughters, Priscilla (Ray) Munoz, Dorri (James) McWhorter; grandchildren, Dominique (Faith) Barry, Aaliyah Munoz, Ray Munoz, Jr., Marissa Munoz, and Champ McWhorter; great granddaughter, Simarianna Barry; sister, Elizabeth (Everette) Montgomery; brother, Emmitt (Winnie) McGhee; sister-in-law, Mary McGhee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Willie was also preceded in death by Eugene Stovall ("Daddy Gene"), and his brothers J.T. and Arlee McGhee, and his favorite faithful companions, Smokey and P.J.

A Memorial Celebration of Willie's life will be held at the funeral home on Saturday July 9, 2016, 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Anthony Lapetina officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Sturtevant Police Department, Canine Fund have been suggested.
