William Van Den Toorn

Mr. William (Bill) Van Den Toorn age 89 of Grand Rapids, passed away on October 7, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joanne; children Ben (Wanda) Van Den Toorn, Andy (Cindy) Van Den Toorn, Marlene (Bob) Bibby, Bill (Laurie) Van Den Toorn and Chuck Van Den Toorn; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; brothers -in- law and sisters- in- law Annette Vander Toorn, Marge VanDen Toorn, Edith Bazen, Marinus Bazen, Marie (Jim) Rosendall, Rev. Peter (Marge) Bazen, Gertrude (Henry) Rosendall, Jim (Barb) Bazen. Bill was preceded in death by his seven brothers and sister-in-law Helen Oudendyke. Bill honorably served his country in the armed forces during WWII. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10, at 10:30 AM at the First Netherlands Reformed Church, 1261 Beckwith Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with his family on Friday, October 9, at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, Van Strien Creston Chapel, 1833 Plainfield NE from 1-3 PM and 6-8 PM.
