William Newcomb

William (Bill) Newcomb, age 91, of Portage passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Bill was born on September 10, 1926 to John and Dorothy Newcomb. Bill is survived by his wife: Donna Newcomb; children: Nancy (David) Brown, Judy (Eugene) Morse, Thomas (Teresa) Newcomb; brother: Peter Luigi; grandchildren: Veronica (John) Brueck, Marc Morse, Amy (Chris) Gray, Ryan (Nikki) Newcomb, Charlie Newcomb , Eric (Lindsay) Newcomb, and David "Andy" (Tina) Brown; great-grandchildren: Zachery, Chloe andTyler Brueck, Olivia, Sophia and Brody Newcomb, Keegan and Kendall Gray, Maddison Morse, Nelson and Lilly Morse. Great-great-grandchild: Penelope Morse. Bill is preceded in death by his son: Michael William Newcomb; siblings: Jack, Bob, Noreen, and Pamela; and grandchild: Shawn.

Bill was an adventurous man who never stopped learning. He loved to immerse himself in books, go camping, and star gaze. He was always devoted to his family who will deeply miss him. A burial will take place Friday, June 29 at 11:00am at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
