William Griessel

Griessel, William H. 6/22/2022 Richland William H. "Bill" Griessel, 91, a 65 year resident of Richland, Michigan died on June 2, 2022 at Bronson Methodist Hospital after having taken a fall. Bill was born in Detroit Michigan to Ray and Lillian Griessel. He and his wife Jane attended and graduated from Western Michigan University in the early 1950's. Bill married Jane B. Adams on June 20, 1953 on Western's Campus. Sadly, she preceded him in death on December 20, 2013. Bill was employed for many years at the Richland Farm Service. He was also a member of the Richland Township Planning Commission with he and Jane being instrumental in the development of the Richland Community Library. Throughout his life Bill loved golfing and bowling. Surviving are his daughter, Sue Griessel and her husband Samuel Press of Burlington, VT; son, John and his wife, Jan of Southern Pines, NC and grandson, Philip Griessel. The Griessel family is very grateful to everyone at Theo & Stacy's in downtown Kalamazoo for the many years of warm friendship and support to Bill as he shared breakfast there for the past decade.
