William E. Ellis

William Eugene Ellis, age 82, passed away Sunday, December, 27, 2015 in Tomah, WI while visiting his son. He was born in Freeport, IL on May 15, 1933 son of the late Sanders and Carrie (Nee: Button) Ellis. Bill served in the U.S Army during the Korean War. On June 13, 1955 in Minnesota he was united in marriage to Joyce M. Puchter and they moved to Milwaukee in 1956, where Bill was employed by Babcock and Wilcox Co for 30 years. Joyce passed away April 19, 1999. Surviving are his children, Robert (Linda) Doughtie, Roger (Carol) Ellis, Joyce Meyer, Gloria (Brad) Langlitz; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister Joan Loos; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Gloria Puchter, Arlene Ellis, Bob Loos, Milton (LaVerne) Puchter and John Johnson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by sisters Mary Ellis and Jean Vaasch; brother Donald Ellis; niece Leann Ellis. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Monday, 11:00 A.M. followed by interment at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the funeral home, 10:00 A.M. until time of service.
