Cronenwett, William Stainton Jr. 4/16/1951 - 5/26/2021 Lawton Bill Cronenwett Jr. always had a good story to tell. Anyone who sat and drank a beer with him would leave with a new joke or tale to pass on to others. Bill had a quiet way about him and his generosity helped many people through rough times. He was quick to lend a helping hand. As a "big kid" himself, he loved to have fun not only with his adult friends but mostly with his "bonus" grandchildren Emma, Mason, and Owen. William Stainton Cronenwett Jr. was born to Jeanne and Bill Cronenwett Sr. on April 16, 1951. He died May 26, 2021 at Bronson Hospital Kalamazoo after a brief illness. He was a lifelong resident of Lawton and South Haven Michigan. After graduating high school in Lawton, Bill entered the US Air Force. When he returned home, he earned a business degree at Kalamazoo Valley Community College. He was a loyal member of the community serving for many years on the Quick Response Team and the Lawton Fire Department. Bill purchased and ran the Village Party Store in Lawton for many years and then decided to try his hand at landscaping. "Bobcat Bill" was the man to call if you needed a hole dug or a garden tilled. He then started up his business Hilltop Construction and built or remodeled many homes in and around Lawton. Bill was proceeded in death by his mother, Jeanne Cronenwett and is survived by his father, Bill Cronenwett Sr., Special Friend, Pam Cusentino, Daughters Michelle (Scott) Markham and Chelsea (Jeff) Lasinski, Grandchildren Ainsley and Anakin Markham, Emma and Mason Sams, and Owen Lasinski. He is also survived by siblings Sue (Bill) Harris, Bryan (Leslie) Cronenwett, Kay (Darrin) Walters, 8 nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews. Friends are invited for lunch to celebrate "Bobcat Bill" at his home 62929 32nd Street, Lawton on Sunday, June 6th from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Donations in his memory can be made to the Lawton Fire Department, P.O.
