William Bowditch

William Aubrey Bowditch passed away Sunday June 9, 2019. William was born March 25, 1931 in Detroit, MI. As a baptized follower of Jesus, he trusted in Him, who through His death and resurrection, offers all who believe, the free gift of salvation and eternal life (John 3:16). William Graduated from Cass Tech. High School in 1949. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 31 years. William graduated Wayne State University with a B.S. in Vocational Education, a Masters in Vocational Education and an Education Specialist degree. He taught vocational education in Detroit for 20 years and 12 Years in Warren Consolidated as the Supervisor of Special Needs. On July 5, 1952 William was married to Audrey June Koskella, who preceded him in death in 2017. William is survived by sons Kevin (Tamera), Brian (Annette), Mark (Barbara), and sister Lita Tocco; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Friends will be received 5-8 pm, Friday June 14, 2019 at Redmond Funeral Home, Kalamazoo. Services will be held 11 am Saturday with a visitation an hour prior at St. Michael Lutheran Church, Portage, with Rev. Dr. Paul Naumann, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne, IN.
